Case Study Submission Rules
Single submission per team. In case of multiple submissions, first submission would be considered for evaluation.
Each team submission should have a Functional Specification document. Functional spec (max 1750 words) should contain:

Problem Definition
Approximately 400 words – focus on why – problem, customer value, business value

Goals & Non-Goals
Approximately 200 words – focus on what – requirements & user scenarios that you aim to solve/not solve

Feature Description
Approximately 900 words – focus on how – features leading to solutions for user scenarios

Success Metrics
Approximately 200 words – how to evaluate success for the features planned and the overall product

Workflow
Max 1 page (2 slides) – UX design, flow charts etc

Rewards

Top 3 Teams from PGP1 & Top 2 Teams from PGP2/PGPX/1-Year MBA with exceptional case study proposals from your campus will get shortlisted for mentorship

All shortlisted teams will receive exciting Microsoft goodies

Top team (team that secures 1st rank) from respective brackets i.e. PGP1 or {PGP2/PGPX/1-Year MBA} per campus will secure a PPI and a chance to compete in the PM Challenge final round

Top team from respective brackets also gets to interact with Campus coaches (Alumni working at Microsoft) for guidance and clarifications related to the final case challenge

Shortlisted teams from your campus will be announced on 16th October 2020
Mentorship

Shortlisted Teams will be assigned mentors from Microsoft
-
Multiple engagement & evaluation touchpoints wherein students interact with Microsoft PMs during their mentorship journey and learn about - life of PM at Microsoft, how to build products by working on a case study and expectations out of a PM candidate during interviews.

Your mentorship will span over 2 weeks with the following focus areas:
- (1) Case-based interaction(s)
- (2) One-on-One sessions
- (3) Profile improvisation discussion

Final Round Rules

Separate tracks of Final round for PGP1 & {PGP2/PGPX/1-Year MBA}

The top team from each campus will get 2 weeks time to prepare for the final round post announcement of the Final Challenge

Each Finalist teams will be assigned a coach from Microsoft who will help answer queries
-
Multiple submissions per team are allowed; last of which would be considered for evaluation
-
Each team submission should have a Functional Specification along with a Power Point presentation
-
Functional spec document has same structure as campus round
-
Each team gets 10 minutes to present their solution to the Microsoft Leadership Panel in the final round; followed by 5-10 minutes for Q&A
